Line Notes: “It’s one of my favorite songs, I think Andrew Bird is a good analog for your writing, actually, because he really pushes the limits of reality (in terms of his instrumentation, etc, like, structurally) but his music is still delightful to listen to. And his lyrics are fascinating. I love how this is a love song but it touches on monsters and bondage and horror… Plus a line that I’ve always wanted to use in a dating profile: ‘She says, ‘i like long walks and sci-fi movies, / you’re six foot tall and East coast bred.'”
